Uzbekistan’s updated foreign policy concept pays special attention to protecting the interests of citizens living abroad - Sidikov

At a briefing at the National Press Center on February 19, Deputy Foreign Minister Furkat Siddikov briefed about the expected changes in the updated foreign policy concept and the identified priority areas of development, Kun.uz correspondent reports. 

It was noted that the new edition of the document will continue to prioritize economic, political, as well as neighborly relations with Central Asian countries.

According to Furkat Siddikov, the updated foreign policy concept pays special attention to the protection and support of the interests of citizens living abroad.

During the press conference, the Deputy Foreign Minister said that this year Uzbekistan will host a number of international conferences, including the conference on the topic: “Central Asia and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities”.

It was also noted that the leaders of China and India are scheduled to visit Uzbekistan in 2021.
