It is also proposed to introduce an obligation to plant as compensation for each cut-down tree 10 large seedlings of equal value. The seedlings must be at least 5 years of age and at least 2 meters high. They must be cared for at least two years.

The number of compensation for each illegally cut tree, however, is 100 seedlings and 3 years of care.

To note, at the end of October 2019, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree imposing a moratorium on the cutting of valuable trees and shrubs that are not part of the state forest fund from 1 November 2019 to 31 December 2020.
