The official websites of the Surkhandarya regional administration and a number of districts and cities in the region were attacked by hackers on January 6, the regional administration reported.

The press service of the Surkhandarya regional administration reports that on January 6, 2021, the official websites of the region, cities and districts were attacked by hackers.

It turned out that on the official website of the regional administration hackers left an appeal to the khokim of the region.

“Hire real professionals for the ICT department, not those who graduated from the university through corruption. We entered the system of government today. If you don’t pay enough attention to professionals and spare your precious time for them, your undisclosed decisions and orders will be disseminated all over the internet. Don’t get flustered, thanks to your “fool” ICT staff, we have already entered the whole system of government,” the message reads.

In addition to the website of the regional administration, the websites of Shurchi, Jarkurgan, Kumkurgan, Sherabad, Altynsay, Muzrabat, Denau, Uzun, Angor and Kizirik districts were also attacked by hackers.

The information service of the regional administration said that measures are being taken to restore the work of the websites, additional information will be provided.
