On December 17 this year, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution on amendments to certain legislative acts of the government, as well as repealing some of them.

According to the information service of the Traffic Safety Department under the MIA, on the basis of this decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the requirement to turn on the headlights during daytimes has been abolished.

This requirement is now mandatory only in the following 6 cases:

- when vehicles are moving in organizational groups;
- for buses and mini-buses carrying passengers;
- in the organized transportation of a group of children;
- when transporting dangerous, bulky and heavy loads;
- when towing a broken motor vehicle;
- for motorcycles and mopeds.

These requirements serve to ensure traffic safety on roads, as well as to protect the lives and health of road users, the report reads.
