Kyrgyz Foreign Minister meets with Uzbek Ambassador, says political situation in the country has stabilized

On October 15, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbayev received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan Khurshid Mirzokhidov, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

At the beginning of the conversation, Mirzokhidov congratulated Ruslan Kazakbayev on his appointment and wished him success, he also delivered a congratulatory message on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov.

In turn, Ruslan Kazakbayev briefed the Uzbek Ambassador on the situation in the country. He noted that the political situation in the country has stabilized.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on current directions and prospects of bilateral cooperation, as well as discussed further steps to strengthen cooperation within regional and international organizations.

Ruslan Kazakbayev stressed the importance of the full implementation of previous agreements. In this regard, he expressed readiness to meet with Uzbek FM Abdulaziz Kamilov in the near future.

Particular attention was paid to the process of negotiations on delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border and trade-economic cooperation.
