August 12, at the regular session of the International Press Club, the director of the State Testing Center (STC) Majid Karimov informed about the process of organizing the admission exams this year.
“This year, 1,484,085 applicants have been registered, of which more than 1,361,000 will take the test. This is a very large number. The organization of tests during the pandemic requires certain conditions.
Previously prepared large pavilions do not meet special requirements. Therefore, preparations have begun to organize the exams in open-air facilities throughout the country. Currently, work is underway in this direction,” Majid Karimov said.
According to the director of the STC, more than 15 stadiums and various parks have been studied in Tashkent and about 10,000 places have been prepared for one shift in the capital city. This means 20,000 applicants will be able to take the exam in two shifts. It is planned that 100,000 entrants will sit the exam each day throughout the country.
“Tests will be held during 14 days starting September 2. The entrant will be able to know the test result the day after the exam, and the enrolment of students will be announced one week after the end of all tests. The entrant will be informed about this through his personal account,” the director of the STC said at the Press Club session.
