Muhammadzokir Mamatkhanov has been appointed head of the External Labor Migration Agency by the relevant order of the Minister of Employment and Labor Relations, the agency reported.

Muhammadzokir Mamatkhanov was born in 1974 in the Pop district, Namangan region. In 2006, he graduated from the Namangan Institute of Engineering and Economics, in 2012 – from the Higher School of Business under the Presidential Academy.

From 1998 to 2016, he held various positions in Pop, Chust, Naryn districts, Namangan city and Namangan regional state tax inspections, Namangan regional administration and Uychi district administration.

In 2016-2017, he served as khokim of the Yangikurgan district. Mamatkhanov has been working as head of the Namangan regional employment department since 2018.

Prior to Mamatkhanov, this position was held by Bakhtiyor Tursunov.
