In January-June 2020, the republic’s foreign trade turnover reached $15.8 billion. Compared to the same period in 2019, the figure has decreased by $3.5 billion.
Of the total volume of foreign trade turnover, exports amounted to $6.28 billion (22.6% decrease was noted in comparison with January-June 2019), and imports – $9.57 billion (down by 15%). As a result, a $3.28 billion passive balance was recorded in foreign trade turnover.
In January and February the foreign trade turnover was at the level of $2.9 billion, in March there was a sharp decline and it dropped to $2.2 billion (compared with February, a decrease of 25.3%).
Today Uzbekistan carries out trade relations with more than 150 countries of the world. The main trading partners of Uzbekistan are China (18.1%), the Russian Federation (16.3%), Kazakhstan (8.4%), the Republic of Korea (7.1%), Turkey (5.6%), Kyrgyzstan (2.5%) and Germany (2.1%).
