Deputy Prime Minister for Social Affairs Behzod Musayev commented on the fact that medical workers fighting the coronavirus did not receive additional payments. He said a special hotline will be set up to study such cases.

“The medical staff fighting the coronavirus was to receive an additional payment of 5 million soums for each treatment period (14 days), nurses – 15 million soums and doctors – 25 million soums. But there have been a number of objections that they are not receiving the surcharge on time.

We have studied these cases – there was some technical work to be done. No medical professional involved in the fight against the coronavirus will be left without the promised bonuses. A system will be created in which the health worker will receive 40 percent of the salary before starting work, and will receive a full salary upon completion of work.

There is also the issue of paying in cash so that the employee does not have problems withdrawing money from a bank card. It is ensured that there will be no cases of failure to contact the banks due to the quarantine. I will take care of it myself.

First of all, payments will be made to the medical staff who have worked so far but have not been paid. 71 such cases have been identified,” Behzod Musayev said at a session of the International Press Club on the analysis of the situation with the coronavirus.

It was also mentioned that a special hotline will be set up to listen to doctors’ concerns.
