The Agency for External Labor Migration addressed to citizens who came back to Uzbekistan after taking an annual leave from their place of work but could not return to the Republic of Korea due to the spread of the COVID-19.
It was noted that negotiations were held between the Agency for External Labor Migration and the Human Resources Development Service.
At the request of the Republic of Korea, before entering the territory of this country, citizens must conclude a consent agreement on compliance with the 14-day mandatory quarantine requirements in South Korea and undergo a medical examination in the manner prescribed in Uzbekistan.
The Human Resources Development Service will investigate the location of the self-isolation specified in the citizen’s consent agreement. According to the study, citizens will be allowed to enter the Republic of Korea if the place of self-isolation meets the quarantine-regulation standards.
“Before completing the consent agreement, we ask your employer to determine the place of quarantine and to include factual information in the consent agreement. We would like to warn you that incorrect information provided may prevent you from entering the Republic of Korea and may result in a ban on entry into the territory of the country.
Due to the epidemiological situation, people with work visas have limited access to the Republic of Korea through existing charter flights (up to 60 passengers per flight), the list of which is formed primarily on the basis of validity of ID cards (visa validity).
In view of the above, you are asked to immediately draw the right conclusions from this situation and if you doubt the accuracy of the information provided in the agreement, please call the Agency for External Labor Migration at 71-202-33-55 (41, 46),” the message reads.
