Today, May 4, at a briefing on the tasks of organizing the admission process for the 2020/2021 academic year, Deputy Prime Minister for Social Development Behzod Musayev informed about the admission this year.
According to Musayev, the “Concept for the Development of Higher Education until 2030” states that this year it is planned to cover more than 25% of graduates with higher education.
“This year’s graduates have completed their curriculum online. This, undoubtedly, influenced the quality of their education. Considering this, we clearly defined the tasks to simplify the entrance exams for the 2020-2021 academic year,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
According to him, it is estimated that more than 1 million 270 thousand school graduates will apply to higher education institutions this year. Last year, the number of applicants was 1 million 76 thousand.
“Given the current situation caused by the pandemic, higher education institutions will allow submission of applications online. Applicants can apply through a computer or phone staying at home. Applicants will also be able to apply through the Public Service Centers, the Single Interactive Public Services Portal and the website of the State Testing Center,” Musayev said at the briefing.
