Nigina Rakhimova has been elected director of the “Ijtimoiy Fikr” Public Opinion Research Center.
According to the press service of the center, Nigina Rakhimova was elected the new director of the center at a meeting of the shareholders’ board on March 6.
Prior to her appointment, Rakhimova worked as deputy director of the center for science.
Prior to this, academician Rano Ubaydullayeva has led the center since 1998. From now on, she will work as a director’s advisor.
To note, the “Ijtimoiy Fikr” Public Opinion Research Center was established in June 1997 by the decree of the first President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.
The Center is a non-governmental independent research institution designed to help accelerate democratic reforms, study public opinion, ensure human rights and explore the interests of citizens, society and the state.
