Uzbekistan to introduce a system of control and accounting of natural gas on a tender basis

The Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan decided that the implementation of a project to implement an automated system for monitoring and accounting of natural gas (ASMAG) should be carried out through a transparent tender, the press service of the Antimonopoly Committee reported.

According to the decree, Khududgaztaminot JSC is assigned to determine the followings on a tender basis:

- from among local manufacturers, the organization of a supplier of electronic gas metering devices and spare parts for them (gearboxes, individual protective boxes, server equipment for automating the processing and transmission of data from electronic gas metering devices); 

- an enterprise – a developer of a billing program and an automated system for accounting and control of natural gas, their implementation, as well as a supplier of the necessary equipment and spare parts for launching the entire system. 

To date, the Khududgaztaminot JSC has carried out an examination of the technical conditions for the purchase of equipment to implement the project “On the implementation of an automated system for accounting and control of natural gas”, and a positive conclusion has been received, a feasibility study for the project is also being developed.

At the moment, the official website of Khududgaztaminot JSC has posted tenders for the purchase of software and equipment for the project “On the implementation of an automated system for accounting and control of natural gas”.

It should be recalled that the introduction of ASMAG in Uzbekistan should be completed before the end of 2022. The system involves the installation of gas meters, the collection, processing and transmission of data, the laying of a communication line and the installation of interfacing telecommunication devices. Khududgaztaminot said that the “smart” meters will be installed at the expense of the organization.
