At the meeting, the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for their further development in various fields were discussed.
According to the MFA press service, the sides exchanged views on the intensification of trade, economic and investment cooperation. It was noted that, despite a sharp increase in bilateral trade last year, the parties have significant potential for further increasing trade turnover. The Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan invited business circles of Azerbaijan to the first Tashkent Investment Forum, which will be held on March 5-6 this year.
The parties examined proposals for enhancing inter-parliamentary dialogue, inter-regional relations, building cooperation in transport and communications, logistics, tourism and other fields.
The issues of interaction within the framework of international structures, in particular, the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States (Turkic Council) and the CIS were also considered at the meeting.
