In his address to the parliament, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev commented on the sphere of mass media.

The President noted that in the past three years Uzbekistan has created the legal framework and ample opportunities to ensure freedom of speech, the comprehensive development of the mass media, the free functioning and creative work of journalists and bloggers.

“In this regard, I would like to draw your attention to another important issue – the media.

We will continue to create all the conditions for the free and unbiased work of the fourth estate and open coverage of the ongoing reforms in our country for our people and the international community.

I am always ready to support professional journalists, who are honest in reporting of problems and shortcomings at places,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
