Uzbekistan, Czech Republic discuss expanding bilateral trade

On October 23, 2019, the delegation of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan met in Prague with Rudolf Jindrák, head of the Foreign Department at the Presidential Office of the Czech Republic, the MFA press service said.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on prospects for further development of bilateral relations, strengthening political dialogue, including at the highest level, and considered certain issues of regional and international nature.

The Czech side highly appreciated the process of comprehensive reforms in Uzbekistan and the modern foreign policy of the country, expressed interest in deepening multifaceted productive and mutually beneficial ties with Uzbekistan.

The delegation also held meetings at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, during which issues of increasing trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two states were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the results of the 8th meeting of Uzbekistan – Czech Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, held on September 23 in Prague, the practical implementation of the agreements reached during this event, specific joint projects and programs.

Mutual interest of the parties was noted in implementation of further additional measures for expanding bilateral trade and promoting joint investment and technological cooperation.
