A meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by the Treaties Senior Specialist at Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) Bader Al Mufgai, the press service of the Chamber said.
During the meeting, issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia with an emphasis on prospects for their further development and strengthening, especially in trade, economic and investment fields were discussed. The parties exchanged views on the schedule and agenda of the upcoming bilateral contacts at various levels.
Presentations were held on the investment, tourism and export potential of Uzbekistan, free economic and small industrial zones in the country.
Bader Al Mufgai noted that this meeting will give a powerful impetus to development of economic ties between the two countries, in particular, it will facilitate the investment activities of Saudi Arabia in Uzbekistan.
It should be noted the Saudi delegation includes representatives of structures responsible for the economy and trade, more than 20 companies operating in food, textile industries, agriculture, mineral resources, construction, electronics and others.
