The parliament in its next session may pass a law on lobbying, said Akmal Saidov, director of the National Human Rights Center of Uzbekistan.
According to him, the document should help in the fight against corruption schemes, moreover, in many countries lobbying has long been fixed at the legislative level.
“I think that the deputies in the next session should consider the law on lobbying, which will be one of the most important steps to combat corruption in Uzbekistan,” Saidov said.
The last elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Parliament of Uzbekistan were held in late 2014 - early 2015. The main tour took place on December 21, 2014. Additional voting was held on January 4, 2015 in 22 districts. The next elections will start at the end of this year.
