Minsk will host an exhibition “Made in Uzbekistan”. Eighty companies from Uzbekistan will bring more than 1,000 descriptions of goods to the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Belarus Nosirjon Yusupov said at a press briefing on July 24, BelTA reports.
The exposition will stay open from July 29 to August 2 as part of the highest-level visit. According to the diplomat, Uzbekistan hopes to increase the supplies of its goods to Belarus after the exhibition.
“The goal of the exhibition is to get Belarusian businessmen familiar with the production, export and investment potential of Uzbekistan, showcase a rich cultural and historical heritage and also the tourism sector of the country,” Nosirjon Yusupov said.
The 3,000m2-exposiiton will feature knitwear, home textiles, cotton fabrics, footwear, haberdashery, thermal insulating materials, fruit and vegetables, confectionery, and also pharmaceutical and medical products. There will also be organized expositions of arts and crafts, IT and tourism, investment and export potential of ten regions of Uzbekistan. The open-air exhibition area of BelExpo will display samples of Uzbekistan's automobile manufacturing.
