The second consultative meeting of the CA leaders, which was planned to be held in April in Tashkent, will be held this fall. This is reported by the press service of the MFA.
Earlier, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Ilhom Nematov told Kun.uz that the meeting was postponed due to the tight schedule of the Uzbek side. “This year, if you have watched the processes in Uzbekistan, we have had a very tight schedule. We planned the meeting for April, but we had a lot of events in April,” Nematov explained.
According to the diplomat, the exact date of the meeting has not yet been determined, but it will certainly take place this year.
In March 2018, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the first meeting of leaders in Astana, offered his colleagues to meet annually on the eve of Navruz and invited everyone to Tashkent in 2019.
The first consultative meeting was attended by the presidents of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon and the chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Akja Nurberdiýewa.
