At the initiative of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, wages have been increased by 10% instead of the planned 7%. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Finance Shohrukh Shorakhmetov.
“We allocated 2.2 trillion soums for the next salary increase. According to the budgetary parameters and the state plan, salaries should have been increased by 7%, but at the initiative of the president, they grew by 10%. So now, we have to allocate an additional amount - 361 billion soums for salaries, and 463 billion soums for pensions. In general, the salary increase will affect 2.5 million people,” he said.
It should be recalled that the other day, the President of Uzbekistan signed a decree on raising wages, pensions, stipends and allowances. According to the decree, from August 1, the minimum payout for labor (MPL) for employees of budgetary institutions and organizations, pensions, stipends and allowances will be increased by an average of 10%.
