The antimonopoly committee helped LLC Artisan Bread defend the Breadly trademark, the information center of the committee reports.
The company engaged in the production of artisan bread and bakery products, as well as providing catering services, appealed to the committee with a request to take measures against the café owned by LLC Cranberry.
It turned out that LLC Cranberry, which has a café in Tashkent, illegally used the Breadly trademark in the name of a dish in its “Breakfast Breadly” menu, as well as in advertising its restaurant in social networks.
LLC Artisan Bread registered the Breadly trademark for 10 years, not only in Uzbekistan, but also in other CIS countries. Moreover, the trademark is being developed in accordance with the franchise system in Russia and Kazakhstan, its branches are available in Kazan and Nur-Sultan.
Having reviewed the case materials, the Antimonopoly committee commission made a decision and issued an order, in accordance with which LLC Cranberry is obliged to stop advertising, offering and selling goods using the Breadly trademark.
The committee called on all companies to work in accordance with the laws and principles of fair and friendly competition.
