Ambassador of Ghana hands over credentials to Abdulaziz Kamilov

On June 25, 2019, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ghana with residence in Teheran, Sauti Yahaya Iddi, the press service of the MFA reported.

Accepting his credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to the current post and wished him fruitful work.

During the conversation, the current state of relations in bilateral and multilateral formats, as well as prospects for their development were discussed.

The parties noted with satisfaction the successful cooperation in the framework of adopting in December 2018 a special UNGA resolution “On Education and Religious Tolerance”, which Ghana not only supported, but also co-authored the document initiated by Uzbekistan.

The meeting confirmed the interest in intensifying the Uzbek-Ghana relations and continuing the practice of cooperation within the framework of international organizations, primarily the UN.
