The first batch of cherries, delivered from Uzbekistan to Krasnoyarsk, appeared in the local markets and stores, the publication “Prospect Mira” writes.
Cherries cultivated in Uzbekistan are sold at a price of 499 rubles ($7.6) per kilogram. It is noted that fruits have “taste, color and smell but are not suitable for canning.”
“The next batch of large deliveries from Uzbekistan is expected on May 25. The prices may drop as low as 250 rubles ($3.8),” the publication said.
