Forbes has published an annual ranking of the richest Russian businessmen, in which Alisher Usmanov ranks ninth.

His net worth was estimated at $12.6 billion.

The first place was taken by the founder and head of Novatek, Leonid Mikhelson, whose fortune amounted to $24 billion. He is followed by the chairman of the board of directors of NLMK, Vladimir Lisin, with a fortune of $21.3 billion. The president of Lukoil, Vagit Alekperov, concludes the TOP-3 ($20.7 billion).

The list also included chairman of the board of directors of PAO Severstal Alexey Mordashov, member of the board of directors of Novatek and Sibur Gennady Timchenko, president of Interros holding Vladimir Potanin, co-owner of LetterOne Holdings and Alfa Group Mikhail Fridman, co-owner of SUEK and Eurochem Andrey Melnichenko and private investor Roman Abramovich.

Earlier it was reported that the publication estimated Alisher Usmanov's annual income at $1.12 billion.

Thanks to the sale of his share in London’s Arsenal FC, Usmanov moved from tenth place in last year’s Forbes ranking of the richest businessmen to fifth. A significant share of income, as in the past year, was made by dividends from Metalloinvest.
