The volume of shuttle trade in 2018 amounted to $1 billion, the Central Bank reports.
The main volume accounted for import – the shuttle business brought goods to the country for $842.9 million and exported for $213.2 million.
The main part accounted for the second quarter – the shuttle business deallers gained $363.9 million. In the first quarter, it was $243.8 million, in the third quarter – $290.1 million, in the fourth quarter – $187.9 million.
According to the dynamics, growth in the volume of shuttle trade can be observed. In 2016, it was $669.7 million, in 2017 – $771.6 million.
Official trade amounted to $29.9 billion. The main volumes accounted for exports of FOB ($8.1 billion) and imports of CIF ($18.8 billion).
It should be reminded that in October, the duty-free import of goods across the border was significantly tightened.
