The plant received an award for the results achieved in 2018 on increasing production volumes, increasing growth rates, modernizing and reconstructing production.
“Today, AMMC is carrying out a large-scale work on modernization and reconstruction of production, numerous investment projects are being implemented, aimed at increasing production volumes, reducing production costs and increasing export potential. All this work was noticeably intensified with a transfer of the state share to the trust management of the foreign company SFI Management Group,” Sergei Larionov said.
According to him, high assessment of the merits of a multi-thousand workforce at the prestigious international forum in Moscow is a clear confirmation that the company management and the country as a whole conducts a skillful investment policy, establishes long-term partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation in the CIS space.
It should be recalled that the Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine is the only copper producer in Uzbekistan. The company produces refined copper, zinc metal, molybdenum, lead concentrate and other products.

Since August 2018, the state share in the enterprise has been transferred into trust management of a foreign company SFI Management Group. In 2018-2025, the combine plans to implement seven investment projects worth over $663 million.
