A meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Uzbekistan Mehmet Süreyya Er was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the press service of the CCI said.
During the meeting, issues on development of bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Turkey in the promising spheres such as trade and tourism, as well as on the organization of joint events were discussed.
Adkham Ikramov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, spoke about the rich experience of cooperation between the CCI and Turkish organizations, in particular with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MUSIAD), the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), as well as international organizations the members of which include both countries.
He also informed about the reforms carried out in the Chamber, its role in development of the country’s economy and support for entrepreneurs, as well as its readiness to assist in organizing joint events and visits for representatives of the business circles of the two countries regarding the works of Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
