As Uzbekneftegaz management reports, the Russian company Lukoil is conducting research work in new areas of Uzbekistan. Kun.uz correspondent reports about it.
“A memorandum was signed with Lukoil to study new blocks. According to it, local and foreign experts will study the existing geological data. The study is connected with three blocks in Navoi region,” head of the department for coordinating production activities of Uzbekneftegaz Nodir Mukhiddinov said.
It is stated that the study will be completed until the end of this year and direct geological exploration is expected to begin next year.
The company's investment in Uzbekistan is estimated at around $8 billion.
In 2019, Uzbekistan plans to drill 146 new wells, repair 159 existing wells and build 7 large technological units and operate them.
