In January, the volume of trade turnover between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan decreased by more than $10,2 million, Sputnik Tajikistan reports.
The figure is almost 35% lower than last year, which was almost $15,8 million.
This year, the volume of Tajik products exported to Uzbekistan also dropped slightly. In January 2018, the figure was $9 million and this year, it declined by $2,500.
Export of Uzbek goods to Tajikistan decreased as well: from $6,7 million to $3,2 million. At the same time, over the past four years, the Uzbek-Tajik trade turnover increased almost 12-fold, from $13 million in 2014 to $155 million in 2018.
