On February 20, delegation of Franco-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including representatives and a number of leading companies of France, visited Uzbekistan, UzA reported.
Within the framework of the event, Uzbekistan – France business forum was held at the International Business Center in Tashkent.
Representatives of ministries and agencies, local khokimiyats, business people of Uzbekistan, Commerzbank and companies of France such as Leroy Merlin, POMA, Assystem, Laboratoires Gilbert, Spektrum operating in commerce, production of building materials, transport, logistics, pharmaceuticals, medicine, electrical engineering and nuclear energy attended the forum.
At the opening ceremony, the Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov called on representatives of French business community to implementation of joint projects in tourism, energy, pharmaceuticals, construction materials production, agricultural sector in Uzbekistan.
“We offer tax and customs privileges in free economic zones for entrepreneurs of France,” the Deputy Minister said.,
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to Uzbekistan Violen Biyet de Vilmore noted that the goal of the forum is to strengthen economic cooperation and consider the possibilities of implementing new projects in various fields.
At the event, the French side expressed interest in development of business relations with Uzbekistan and implementation of joint projects.
The delegation members presented their products and services during the forum. The parties also held G2B and B2B meetings.
