As of January 2019, the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan amounted to 3351428.8 thousand US dollars, which shows 26.8% increase compared with the same period last year.

According to the State Statistics Committee, during the given period, exports reached 1675729.9 thousand USD (growth rate - 16.6%), while the import volume was recorded at 1675698.9 thousand USD (growth rate - 38.9%). The foreign trade balance amounted to 31.0 thousand USD.

Due to the increase in the production of goods that replaced imported products and the diversification of industrial production, significant changes were made in the structure of exports.

The development of foreign trade relations of Uzbekistan is carried out on the basis of the real needs of the national economy, which is in the process of carrying out market reforms. At the same time, it is aimed at integrating Uzbekistan into the world economy, occupying a worthy place in a number of developed countries of the world.

According to the results of January 2019, the number of enterprises engaged in the export of goods, compared with the same period last year, increased by 81 units and their total number reached 1037 units.

The analysis of the dynamics of foreign trade turnover also showed an increase and in January 2019 it amounted to 3351.4 million USD, which, in comparison with the same period in 2018, increased by 707.8 million USD.
