There will be infrastructures for the growth of living standards of the population in the center of the capital and production enterprises will be located on the outskirts of the city. This was reported by the Tashkent city administration at a press conference.
On February 16, during a meeting, the deputy governor of Tashkent city on the issues of developing investment, innovation, industry, tourism and assisting privatized enterprises Sharof Rakhmonov stated that 1 million tourists visited Tashkent in 2018, additionally, increasing the social and community facilities in the city has already become an actual topic.
- In the capital, not only residential, but also other public and social buildings are being built. City lighting, waste management should also be taken into account. We have tried to cover all areas while approving the investment program, so that people can improve their lives. Also, 1 million tourists visited Tashkent last year. Previously this figure was about 300-400 thousand. In the center of the city, we create an infrastructure that benefits welfare of the people. For that purpose, the manufacturing structures will be located at boundaries of the city.
According to the deputy governor, border areas with Tashkent region are used for this purpose. Land plots for establishment of industrial zones will be allocated from Tashkent region.
“For example, it is planned to implement a large project on 100 hectares of land in Sergeli region. Of course, all of these production-related structures are governed by existing legislation and civil rights,” he added.
According to the administration Tashkent region, there are free land plots and buildings in eight districts. It is envisaged that members of a small industrial zones will be exempted from property and income tax for a period of 2 years, renting land plots or premises for a period of 10 years at a zero-redemption value with the condition of privatization. At the moment, there is no official information on the start of the work, establishment of a certain infrastructure and relocation of participants in the small industrial zone in Tashkent.
