Sergeli overground metro will cost Uzbekistan $80 million

The government of Uzbekistan approved the technical and economic parameters of the construction of the Sergeli subway line, according to which the project cost will be $82.6 million, including $47.5 million from the state budget and $35.1 million from the Fund for Reconstruction and Development, reports LexUZ.

In particular, $27.9 million will be spent on the purchase of rolling stock, $48.2 million for construction and installation work, financial costs are estimated at $2.1 million, and other expenses - $4.3 million. Earlier it was reported that the Uzbekistan Railways JSC intends to purchase from the Russian Metrovagonmash JSC five metro trains for the Tashkent metro for 27.6 million euros.

Rolling stock for the Tashkent Metro will be acquired through loans from the Russian Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs in the amount of 22.1 million euros and the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan in the amount of 5.5 million euros provided for a period of 10 years.

Expenses related to the repayment of attracted loans, the payment of interest, commissions and other expenses on them will be covered by the state budget.
