Uzbegim Group agrees to supply dried fruit to the Russian trading network “Ashan”

Soon in all hypermarkets of the largest trading network of Russia “Ashan”, Uzbek fresh and dried fruits will be presented, general director of the company Uzbegim Group based in Syrdarya Umida Sattarova said.

According to her, a corresponding agreement was concluded on the first day of the international exhibition ProdExpo-2019, which is taking place in Moscow from February 11 to 15.

“Not only Moscow retail, but also the regions of Russia are showing interest in Uzbekistan. So, soon the first batch of our goods will go to Novosibirsk,” the company’s representative specified.

Uzbekistan is represented at ProdExpo-2019 by five stands of the collective exposition Made in Uzbekistan: dried fruit and fresh agricultural products, canned goods, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, teas, nuts, confectionery and much more are displayed here.

Thus, Tashkent's Best Tastes Technology presented dried fruit and nuts under its brand UzKand and on the first day of the exhibition agreed to deliver products to Russia and, through it to European countries. 

“We conducted a series of talks with participants of the ProdExpo-2019 from various parts of Russia and European countries. Dealer contracts are signed with companies from Moscow, Novosibirsk and Belarus. Our plan is to expand the range of goods produced. This would allow us to consolidate our presence in the Russian market and subsequently, enter other states gradually,” head of the company Ravshan Ikramov says.

The company Crafers presented bakery products, chocolate, caramel and marmalade, marshmallows, jellies and other confectionery products at the exhibition.

Head of the department for export development and foreign economic activity Sanjar Kurbonaliyev said that the company had meetings with representatives of the largest importers and retailers in Russia.

“Not only Russian businessmen are interested in our products, but also entrepreneurs from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. This year we will enter the markets of these countries with our goods,” he said.

The area of ProdExpo-2019 exhibition occupies over 100,000 square meters of land, and about 2500 companies from 65 countries are demonstrating their products here. ProdExpo is held by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the RF. The program includes international thematic forums, roundtables, workshops, presentations and professional competitions.
