Leadership of the “MosTransProject” and a number of other Russian structures presented on Friday the Concept for the development of the Tashkent transport complex, the press service of the city khokimiyat reports.
It should be recalled that earlier in August, the President of Uzbekistan instructed the khokim of Tashkent to develop a concept for the fundamental reforming of the public transport system of the city with the involvement of a foreign engineering company until January 1, 2019.
Oleg Shutenko, the Head of the Department for Foreign Economic and International Relations at Moscow city administration, Pyotr Barsukov, deputy director of the Moscow city transport research and design institute (MosTransProject), and head of the transport planning department of this institute Sergey Ivasenko arrived in Tashkent to discuss the prospects of the project.
“The presented concept covers the optimization of parking space, the route network of the city, the priority of public transport over personal transport, training of transport system personnel and much more,” the city khokimiyat noted.
After carefully considering the project, the parties discussed in detail the points of the presented concept.
For the further advancement of work, the Uzbek side requested a schedule for the implementation of the concept items with the obligatory indication that author’s supervision will be carried out within the time set.
