In the first nine months of 2018, Russian Lukoil has increased its gas production thanks to the development of projects in Uzbekistan, the company’s press service reports.
“The increase in gas production was mainly driven by the development of projects in Uzbekistan. With the launch of new gas production projects, Lukoil’s contribution in “Kandym” and “Khisor” sites has increased to 9,6 billion cubic meters in the first nine months of 2018, which is 84% more than the previous year. In September 2018, the capacity of “Kandym” gas pipeline reached to 8 billion cubic meters of gas per year,” the report reads.
In January-September 2018, Lukoil produced 24,6 billion cubic meters of gas - this is 19,2% more in comparison to 2017.
Currently, Lukoil is working on “Kandym-Khauzak-Shody” and “South-West Khisor” projects in Uzbekistan.
