The Professional Football League of Uzbekistan is included in the list of nominees for the title of "Best Asian Football League", Kun.uz correspondent reports.
On Nov. 19-20, 2018, Bangkok will host SPIA Asia 2018 – Asia's Sports Industry Awards & Conference, during which the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will announce the name of the best football league in Asia in two categories.
Uzbekistan’s Professional Football League, along with other renowned leagues of Australia, China, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates, was included in the list of candidates for winning the prestigious "Best Inspiring Football League of the Year" nomination.
The other 10 countries - Bhutan, Guam, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, the Philippines, Singapore, Tajikistan and Vietnam will compete for the nomination of "Best Developing Football League of the Year".
It is worth noting that the candidate countries in these two categories were selected on the basis of the best indicators in such areas as the administrative and management activities of football leagues, as well as the organization of championships.
The selection committee did also take into account the issues of financial state of championships, organization of matches and the coverage of games in media outlets.
