President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America Pamela Spratlen, who is completing her diplomatic mission in our country on September 24.

Welcoming the guest, the head of our state noted that the US Ambassador has made a significant contribution to the consistent development and strengthening of mutually beneficial Uzbek-American relations.

It was noted that the high-level contacts and the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United States in May this year, created a solid foundation for the new era of friendly relations and strategic partnership between the two nations.

A constructive political dialogue has been established on all areas of mutual interest. Inter-parliamentary relations have intensified.

Trade and economic cooperation is expanding. Science, education and culture, as well as inter-regional cooperation are developing.

The US Ambassador thanked the Uzbek leader for his sincere welcome. It was emphasized that the United States pays a special attention to the consistent development of bilateral relations and is striving for further expansion of multifaceted cooperation with our country.

At the end of the meeting Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States Pamela Spratlen was awarded with “Dustlik” order for her contribution to the strengthening of strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States of America.
