Tashkent hosts a stage of the Rhytmic Gymnastics World Cup and the “Happy Caravan” international tournament

The National Sports School of Olympic Reserve of Rhythmic Gymnastics was filled with sportspeople and coaches and sports fans. Two big sports fora- a celebration of beauty and grace have been held in Tashkent. 

These tournaments, held by the Ministry of culture and sports of Uzbekistan, the National Olympics Committee and the Gymnastics Federation in collaboration with the International Gymnastics Federation have been attended by representatives from Uzbekistan, the USA, Belarus, South Korea, Spain, Israil, Malaysia, Poland, Russia, China, Estonia, Japan, Kazakhstan and Armenia. 

Minister for culture and sports B.Akhmedov and others noted that the constant attention, paid under the leadership of the President of our country, to wide involvement of girls in sports, development and popularization of relevant sports, has yielded high results. If the rate of girls involvement in sports was 24 per cents in 2005, in particular, 22 per cent in rural areas, today 47 per cent of girls, including 44,7 per cent in rural areas are regularly involved in sports. 

The stage in the World Cup is held for the seventh time in Tashkent by the International gymnastics federation. This is no coincidence.Due to high sports potential, solid material-technical base, created conditions and gathered conditions each sports event in our country is organized on a high level, which is acknowledged by the international sports community. This year participants included over 100 gymnasts. Yelizaveta Nazarenkova and Anastasia Serdyukova represent our country in individual competitions, while Samira Amirova, Valeria Davidova, Luiza Ganieva, Zarina Kurbanova, Marta Rostoburova will compete in teams. At the Happy Caravan international tournament Uzbekistan will be presented by Asal Ikramova, Aode Gasanova, Lola Zakirova, Milana Tyan, Aleksiya Kiseleva and Nuriniso Usmanova. 

Deputy Prime Minister B.Khodiev took part at the opening ceremony.
