On September 13, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a temporary procedure for allocating subsidies for the construction and equipping of modular hotels, according to the Ministry of Justice.

Subsidies will be granted to newly established modular hotels that have received a certificate of conformity between October 1, 2024, and November 1, 2026. To qualify for the payments, the hotel must have at least 10 modules.

The amount of the subsidy will be 1 million UZS per place, regardless of the hotel’s category. Applications for subsidies must be submitted no later than December 31, 2026.

Entrepreneurs applying for the subsidy must not have any unresolved tax debts or mandatory payments. Additionally, the company must not be in the process of liquidation or reorganization, nor should it have the status of insolvency.

Applications for subsidies will be accepted through the Unified Portal of Interactive Public Services. The application must include a copy of the certificate of conformity and documents confirming the right to the land where the modular hotel is located.

The Tourism Committee will review the application within 15 business days, during which an employee will visit the site. Afterward, a decision will be made to either grant the subsidy or deny it.

In July, the Tourism Committee approved a classification of modular hotels, dividing them into three categories. The document outlines the conditions for obtaining a certificate of conformity.
