Uzbekistan slightly improves its position in mobile Internet speed ranking

In September, Uzbekistan ranked 100th among 141 countries in terms of mobile internet speed. Such information is provided in the Speedtest Global Index web service rating.

Compared to August (101st place), Uzbekistan’s mobile internet speed rating has increased by 1 place.

It is noted that in Uzbekistan in September, the average download speed via mobile Internet was 23.63 Mbit/s, and the upload speed was 12.6 Mbit/s.

Among the countries of Central Asia, Kazakhstan took the first place in terms of mobile Internet speed in September (66th place in the overall rating). Kyrgyzstan was the second (88th place), Uzbekistan – the third (100th place), Tajikistan – the fourth (136th place). There is no information on Turkmenistan.

Among all the countries of the world, the fastest mobile internet is recorded in the United Arab Emirates. The download speed there in September was 211.58 Mbps and the upload speed was 22.02 Mbps. Qatar is the second and China – the third.

Uzbekistan worsened its position in terms of fixed (wired) Internet speed in September and occupied the 91st place. This is 2 positions lower than in August. In September, the download speed was 53.08 Mbps and the upload speed – 53.53 Mbps.

At the same time, Uzbekistan took the first place in Central Asia in terms of fixed internet speed (91st place in the overall rating). Kyrgyzstan was the second (93rd place), Kazakhstan was the third (96th place), and Tajikistan was the fourth (127th place).

Among all the countries of the world, the fastest fixed Internet was recorded in Hong Kong – the download speed is 265.17 Mbit/s, and the upload speed – 183.90 Mbit/s. In the same ranking, Singapore occupied the second place and Chile – the third.
