Austrian company to implement an investment project in Kashkadarya

During the visit, a number of meetings and negotiations were held on the issues of attracting investments to the Kashkadarya region and establishing direct links between representatives of the business community of this region with Austrian businessmen.

In particular, during the visit, negotiations were held with Josef Lasselsberger, Director General of the Austrian company Lasselsberger Group, on the implementation of a project for the production of building materials by processing stone based on modern technologies. As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the visit of the head of the Austrian company to the Kashkadarya region in the first half of September.

During the visit, a meeting was also held with the director of the Austrian company “AME International GmbH” Heitz Messinger, where they discussed the development of a project to reform the digital healthcare system in the Kashkadarya region and the construction of a modern oncology hospital, where innovative nuclear medicine technologies and equipment will be used.

The director of “AME International GmbH” said that he was ready to start implementing this project at the request of the government of Uzbekistan and support with the allocation of preferential loans (“soft-loan”) by the Austrian Control Bank OeKB and UniCredit Bank Austria AG for the implementation of this project.

In addition, in order to develop new investment projects and discuss exports of Uzbek products, a meeting was held with the Director of the Department for Cooperation with the Countries of South-Eastern Europe, Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Cosime Steiner.

The meeting included presentations of the economic potential of the Kashkadarya region, the wide opportunities created for foreign investors and representatives of the business community, export potential, as well as investment projects in the field of tourism, mining and agriculture in the Kitab district.

Following the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the participation of representatives of the Austrian business in the International Industrial Forum, which will be held on October 5-6 in Kashkadarya region.
