Technical work on integration of ATMs of Uzcard and Humo payment systems has been completed, Uzcard information service reported.
“Unified All-Republic Processing Center LLC together with the National interbank payment system completed technical work on the integration of Uzcard and Humo payment system ATMs.
Currently, two ATMs are operating in the pilot mode: Kapitalbank JSCB ATM connected to Uzcard and accepting Humo bank cards, as well as Khalq Banki JSCB ATM connected to Humo and accepting Uzcard cards.
It is planned to connect all ATMs of commercial banks after the successful completion of tests by both operators of payment systems, as well as after identifying possible errors in the implementation of transactions,” Uzcard said in a statement.
It is noted that starting from June 1, 2023, it is expected that all ATMs will be gradually connected in accordance with the schedule agreed with commercial banks.
Earlier, a presidential decree aimed at creating additional convenience in making payments by residents was signed. In it, the integration of the Humo and Uzcard payment systems is scheduled to be completed step by step, including the integration of ATMs by May 2023 and the integration of payment terminals by the end of 2023.
For information, it has been stated since 2020 that Uzcard and Humo payment systems will be integrated. It was officially announced that this process would be completed by the end of 2021, but this did not happen.
