Freedom Broker, which is the underwriter of UzAuto Motors’ shares for sale, has published a report on the company’s plans for the near future.
According to the report, UzAuto Motors will stop production of Nexia-3 and Spark from the end of this year, and Lacetti-Gentra from the end of 2023. In this way, Cobalt, which is sold only with an automatic transmission for 127,145,000 soums, will become the cheapest sedan of Uzavto.
In turn, an updated version of Cobalt may be produced in Uzbekistan from 2024. UzAuto Motors has started negotiations with General Motors in this regard.
According to the information provided by the company, the production of other budget models instead of Nexia-3 and Spark will not be launched in the coming years. Sales of the as-yet-unnamed new Chevrolet model can begin only by 2026.
Reportedly, sales of the Trailblazer will also be discontinued from the end of this year. The company plans to start importing Captiva and Cadillac from 2023.
Sales of the updated Equinox may also begin at the end of next year, and the updated Traverse may go on sale in mid-2024.
