President Shavkat Mirziyoyev meets with businessmen. After August 20 was announced as Entrepreneurs’ Day at last year’s meeting, meetings of the head of state with businessmen are becoming a tradition on this day.
Before the meeting, a special staff started working in the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade in June to study the appeals of entrepreneurs.
“More than 8,200 appeals have been received by the staff (as of August 8). Among them, the most requests are related to business financing, tax system, land allocation and granting of privileges and preferences. If we compare with last year, there are fewer appeals in some directions, which I consider to be the result of the issuing decrees. There have been many requests for reducing the tax burden and intervention of state bodies in the activities of business entities,” the deputy head of the MIFT Department Dadakhon Jumaniyozov said.
According to Davron Kholikulov, the responsible officer of the Cadastre Agency, many appeals have been received from businessmen on issues such as restoration of property rights and land allocation.
“We made a proposal to give land without an auction in areas where it is difficult to allocate land. The proposal envisages allocating land from difficult regions, such as from Karakalpakstan, without an auction, to entrepreneurs who intend to make large investments. Currently, allotment of land is carried out through e-auksion, anyone in the field of business can win and use as much land as they need in the auction,” he said.
Dadakhon Jumaniyozov emphasized that it is appropriate for businessmen to raise more systemic problems.
“We would request our businessmen, if they give more proposals regarding systemic problems, we will study and submit them to the head of our state in the established order,” he said.
According to the information, from the beginning of the work of the staff until August 8, 795 appeals were received in the field of taxation. At the same time last year, 370 appeals were received in this regard. The figures show that appeals to the tax system have doubled this year compared to last year.
Chairman of the State Tax Committee Sherzod Kudbiyev said in an interview to Mfaktor that there will be “big changes” at the meeting of the head of state with businessmen this year.
According to him, the committee is considering proposals to reduce the powers of tax authorities and the duration of inspections.
“Our businessmen and the whole nation can see that there are big changes ahead of us from the point of view of administration and taxation. We will have good news for our entrepreneurs. The task of tax authorities is increasing. But now we see proposals to reduce the authority of tax authorities and reduce the period of inspection in inspections,” he said.
Kudbiyev said that he is working on reducing benefits, there is also a task to reduce individual benefits. The committee is making calculations on this.
It should be recalled that a number of reliefs for entrepreneurs were announced at last year’s meeting.
