At the meeting with Fumiya Kokubu, issues of strengthening the partnership between the business communities of Uzbekistan and Japan were discussed. The parties agreed to take joint measures to create the most favorable conditions for the successful activities of Japanese entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan, taking into account the implementation of investment projects in promising industries, the MIFT press service said.
The sides considered practical issues related to projects implemented jointly with Marubeni in Uzbekistan in the energy, geology and chemical industry and discussed the possibilities for expanding the company’s presence in the market through the development of new projects in the chemical and textile industries.
At the meeting with the President and CEO of Mitsubishi, the possibilities of deepening cooperation by moving to an active investment partnership and covering new areas of cooperation – alternative energy, textile and petrochemical industries were discussed.
Negotiations with the President and CEO of Itochu included an analysis of the implementation of joint projects, in particular the establishment of manufacturing buses and other vehicles on the basis of the production facilities of SamAvto company, as well as localization of components for D-Max cars. The company’s leadership expressed interest in consistently enhancing cooperation by working out new promising areas for investment.
Following the talks with Japanese business representatives, further steps were outlined to accelerate the implementation of ongoing initiatives, as well as to develop and further promote new promising projects aimed at introducing innovations and advanced scientific and technical developments.
