A spokesman for the organization told Kun.uz that the retail prices for petrol and diesel fuel are formed depending on market prices. It includes the costs and benefits associated with the sale of petrol, as well as taxes and other mandatory payments specified in the current legislation.
The Ministry of Finance has offered for discussion the bill to amend the Tax Code to increase the excise tax on motor and diesel fuel from February 1, 2021. According to the bill, changes and additions will be made to the rates of excise tax on the following petroleum products and goods sold to the end consumer:
Petroleum products:
1 ton of AI-80 gasoline: in practice – 200,000 soums, offer – 240,000 soums;
1 ton of AI-80, AI-92, AI-93 and AI-95 gasoline: in practice – 250,000 soums, offer – 275,000 soums;
1 ton of diesel fuel: in practice – 200,000 soums, offer – 240,000 soums;
1 ton of ECO diesel fuel: in practice – 180,000 soums, offer – 216,000 soums.
Excise tax on goods sold to the end consumer:
1 ton of gasoline: in practice – 378,480 soums, offer – 465,530 soums;
1 ton of diesel fuel: in practice – 346,275 soums, offer – 425,918 soums.
The above changes in the example of AI-80 gasoline, which is popular in the country, may increase by 127,050 soums per ton (146,108 soums including VAT) or by 95 soums per liter (110 soums including VAT).
Uztransgaz JSC and Khududgaztaminot JSC will supply CNG stations with gas.
If the bill under discussion does not pass, there will be no change in the price of oil products mentioned above.
