Banks in Uzbekistan have enough liquidity, Khusankhoja Abidov, department head at the Central Bank, said in response to the above question.

“The Central Bank constantly monitors the liquidity of commercial banks. In particular, balances on the accounts of individuals and legal entities, currency transactions are controlled.

We can say that the banking system in Uzbekistan has sufficient liquidity. There is no reduction in resources in banks.

Even if we face any liquidity problems, the Central Bank has the necessary tools to support them,” Khusankhoja Abidov said at a March 30 briefing.

Earlier it was reported that during the quarantine period, international money transfer services will not be limited, and there will be no problems with the use of plastic cards.
