According to the results of exchange trades held on December 16-20, 2019 at the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX), the price dynamics in a number of commodity segments of the exchange market showed increase.
During the period under review, 4,079.8 tons of AI-91 petrol were put up for exchange trades, of which 3,404.6 tons were sold. Over the last trading week, quotes for AI-91 petrol were down by 0.5% compared to the previous week and amounted to 6,241.7 thousand soums per ton.
Last week, liquefied gas producers sold 4,740.0 tons of liquefied gas worth $12.7 billion through exchange trades. The price of gas on the exchange decreased by 1.6% compared to the previous week and amounted to 2,688.0 thousand soums per ton.
Prices are growing in the precious metals market. Following the results of the auction, the UZEX sold more than 8 kilograms of Au-1 gold worth about 3.8 billion soums. Almalyk MMC JSC acted as the seller in exchange trades. The exchange quotations increased by 1% against the last trading results and made up 453.1 thousand soums for 1 gram of gold.
The demand for cotton fiber remains high. Last week, prices for cotton fiber of 1st grade increased by 4.9% and amounted to 14.6 million soums per ton. Prices for other types of cotton fiber ranged from 10.9 million to 14.5 million soums.
The stock market of the 1st grade wheat flour is balanced. Over the last trading week, 30,600 tons of 1st grade flour was put up for exchange trades, of which 29,300 tons were sold for 68 million soums. Stock quotes of the 1st grade flour have not changed compared to the previous week and amounted to 2,217.2 thousand soums per ton.
